It will be an opportunity for you to thank her for serving Augustana and for the many times she has shared with us over nearly three years. We will wish her well as she enters into a time of new endeavors and opportunity.

From the Interim Pastor:

It’s time to have a party! It’s time for celebration! Your next pastor, Pastor Jo Gast is coming! All the waiting, working and praying comes to an end and a new chapter begins.

A great big word of thanks to the transition team and the call committee for all their work, time and prayer in the process of calling your next pastor! They worked diligently and faithfully to call the pastor they believe is the right pastor for this time in the life of the congregation. God is good and faithful!

Now as you begin this new relationship I would encourage you invite Pastor Jo to your home, out for coffee or to lunch after church or to whatever occasion may present itself to become acquainted. Welcome her by stopping by the church for a visit or dropping her a note. And, remember she has all of your names to learn and you have only Pastor Jo and her family’s names to remember. The new pictorial directory will be help for her as well as for the congregation. With new energy and a fresh beginning God bless you in the ministry God has for you to do together.

And as I bring closure to my time here with you, I will carry with me great memories of each of you and the ministry we were able to do together during this interim time. Thank you! Know that my prayers are with you. God bless you!

Love and Peace of the Lord be with you all!
